I’m a live event producer by trade – which to some basically means I am a magician and a wizard. Organizations pay producers like me to make sure things behind the scenes of their sales meetings, live productions, video shoots, conferences, concerts and shows are flawless. I am actually pretty darn skilled in wrangling baby kittens (aka: I live for details and have an uncanny ability to calm down even the most anxious or irate client). I’ve been fortunate to travel the world producing live experiences for audiences of 10 to 10,000.
Basically, I’m a curator of chaos.
On the non-work front:
Food…..ah…. food, glorious food! It’s 100% my love language—and red wine might actually flow through my veins. I absolutely live for the first hint of pumpkin spice and chill in the air as its my signal that its time to pull out those Christmas decorations!
Music: My playlist is as varied as my hairstyles (it changes constantly!) and for me, my hair IS my makeup. I’ve always preferred a bare face and clean skin—hence my obsession with overpriced skincare products.
Shit-Talker: My mouth is smartassy but my heart is pure. I’m fiercely loyal and my friends from middle and high school are still some of my very best friends. I’m an introverted extrovert – those of you who identify with that know exactly what I mean. ☺
So….why should I care? Honestly, I’m not sure. But what I do know is that .people are always asking me for tips or advice. Not just friends and family…. even absolute strangers. I’m the person that the clueless husband doing 11th hour Christmas Eve shopping grabs and asks “Do you think my wife will like this?” (Not sure if it’s because I seem to have my shit together or if I just have a pretty damn good poker face.) Either way, I really truly do love to help people with all kinds of things- both big and small.
My life is pretty hectic and there’s no hiding that. Between being a wife, being a mom to these four boys, running a small business, navigating a global pandemic, homeschooling abovementioned boys and attempting to maintain a social life -- these hands are pretty full. Some days it feels overwhelming, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
My Boo: I married my high school sweetheart. It’s a sappy story that I’m sure I’ll tell eventually — but trust me, it wasn’t all rainbows and unicorns. Bottom line - we were made for each other and twenty years later, he still can’t pass me in a room without me trying to pinch his butt. He seriously just gets better with age.
Our Home: In 2017, we built our modern farmhouse on our land just outside of Dallas. Living a quiet country life has always been our dream. Yes, we’re out here in the country, but I promise you that there’s nothing quiet about our lives these days. But SURPRISE! After living here in what I thought was our PERFECT space, we up and sold our parcel on a whim and now I’m designing our new forever homestead!
